Bruno: Hi, Agnes! Good to see you! I can see you've been shopping all morning! Look at all these brand name bags from various sports shops that you have!

Agnes: Hi, Bruno! Yes! The school year is about to begin, and I've just noticed I have nothing to wear for PE class! So, I've bought some sneakers and T-shirts and leggings. What else?... Oh, yeah! Running shoes!

Bruno: Cool! You are well-equipped! Do you like PE class, then?

Agnes: Not really. I don't know about you, but I find it kind of strange to exercise at school, even though we've been doing it for so many years. Outside of school, however, I love any kind of physical activity. Name anything  — yoga, skating, swimming, aerobics, jogging in the morning  — I'm game!

Bruno: How about rock climbing?

Agnes: Rock climbing! That's something I've never tried before. I've heard about it, though. My cousins are crazy about it, and when we meet, we always agree to go together one day, but it hasn't happened yet. Are you into rock climbing?

Bruno: Oh yeah! I've done it since I was in elementary school. My dad and my elder brothers love it. I was the little one in the family, but they always dragged me along with them. First, to those climbing and bouldering gyms that you find everywhere now. That's probably where your cousins go. And then to natural hills.

Agnes: Wow! Can you climb really big mountains?

Bruno: No, that's a different sport called mountaineering or alpinism. It's too advanced and dangerous for us. You are probably thinking of people ascending Mount Everest or something like that.

Agnes: Yes! And I do know it's dangerous. You hear all sorts of scary stories about it.

Bruno: Yeah... So, no, we don't do that. Just good old rock climbing in the local hills, which is also quite challenging!

Agnes: Oh, I bet! I know I wouldn't last a minute!

Bruno: Wanna try? I'm on my way to a bouldering gym right now. You can join me. I've got an annual membership there, and I can take a guest for free once a month. It's the end of August, and I haven't taken anyone yet.

Agnes: Oh! Now! That's unexpected... You said bouldering? What's the difference between bouldering and rock climbing?

Bruno: In bouldering the walls are smaller but there are no ropes.

Agnes: No ropes! So,... if you fall  — you fall right on the floor?

Bruno: The floor is soft. And the walls are not high. Besides, there are different levels of difficulty. You can begin with the one meant for children.

Agnes: Sounds tempting! I don't know...

Bruno: Look. It's just across the street in that building over there. You can do it for as long as you wish. If you get tired in 15 minutes, you can go home or watch me climbing. And  — you've got the right kind of clothes with you!

Agnes: That's true! But don't you need some special kind of shoes?

Bruno: You can rent them there. And it'll be free, since you are a guest.

Agnes: You know what? I'm in! You've convinced me!

Bruno: Great! Let's go!

Agnes: Let's go!
