Study the two photographs. In 1.5 minutes be ready to compare and contrast the photographs:
— give a brief description of the photos (action, location)
— say what the pictures have in common
— say in what way the pictures are different
— say which kind of dessert presented in the pictures you’d prefer in the summer
— explain why
You will speak for not more than 2 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.
I was given two photos and tasked to compare them. In the first photo we can see two ladies, both of them pretty young, sitting in a cafe and, apparently, tasting something. In the second photo there are two girls as well, they also seem to be tasting a watermelon, but, most likely, in their own garden or own home.
The pictures have a lot in common. Both are featuring couples in the process of dining, in both they seem to be enjoying themselves.
However, there is a significant difference between the two pictures. In the first one the ladies are in a cafe, surrounded by other people and focused primarily on what they see on their plates as opposed to the couple in the second picture, who are enjoying the peace and comfort of their home and, seemingly, are focused more on the photographer.
I don't like desserts, but if I had to choose one, I'd prefer to watermelon. It is healthier than eating cakes. Also, it is juicy so it cools in a hot summer day.
That is all I had to say.
