Study the two photographs. In 1.5 minutes be ready to compare and contrast the photographs:
• give a brief description of the photos (action, location)
• say what the pictures have in common
• say in what way the pictures are different
• say which of the activities presented in the pictures you’d prefer
• explain why
You will speak for not more than 2 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.
In the picture number 1 we can see two men sailing boats. In the background there is a huge hill which covers the whole area. In the second picture we can see a white ship. In the background there are a couple of huge buildings.
Clearly those pictures have some similarities. First of all both pictures depict water vehicles. Also on both of them it’s a middle of the day.
But there are differences as well. In the picture number 1 there are two water vehicles while in the second picture only one. Moreover, in the upper photo we can see a dog, in the photo below there are no animals. Lastly in the background of the second picture is modern city while in the first photo we can see wild nature.
Personally I would prefer to be in the ship because I get very dizzy sailing boats. Moreover it's rather difficult to move through the water by a boat.
