Study the two photographs. In 1.5 minutes be ready to compare and contrast the photographs:
• give a brief description of the photos (action, location)
• say what the pictures have in common
• say in what way the pictures are different
• say what kind of work presented in the photos you prefer
• explain why
You will speak for not more than 2 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.
In photo one we can see some people in an office. It seems that they are colleagues. All of them are smiling because they might have done a lot of work successfully. In picture two there is a man, who is wearing a smart suit. Perhaps, he is taking a short rest or thinking over something. He looks extremely tired because his head is resting on his hands.
Both pictures show people at work who have probably finished doing some complicated projects. But there is a big difference, too. People in the first picture look very happy and pleased, whereas the man in picture two looks frustrated.
As for me, I’d prefer to work in a team which is shown in photograph one, because the people look very friendly and I suppose they do appreciate each other. In my opinion, it is very important to work in a group. Two or more people are always better than one for solving problems, finishing off difficult tasks and increasing creativity. I would never want to be a freelancer because I always need other people by my side and together we can socialize, share ideas and experience.
