Imagine that you and your friend are doing a school project "The best way to travel". You have found some illustrations and want to share the news. Leave a voice message to your friend. In 2.5 minutes be ready to:
— explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly describing them and noting the differences;
— mention the advantages (1–2) of the two types of travelling;
— mention the disadvantages (1–2) of the two types of travelling;
— express your opinion on the subject of the project — which way of travelling you’d prefer and why?
You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.
Hey, Kate. You know what? I’ve just found two pictures suitable for our project "The best way to travel". Let me tell you a bit more about them.
These pictures are relevant to our project because in both pictures we can see people travelling somewhere. In the first photo there is a little boy slipping in a car. In the second picture there is a woman and her daughter. They are standing with their luggage in the airport as I can see. There are a few differences to illustrate our project better. Obviously, both of the pictures show different ways to travel. People from the first picture travel by their own car while the second picture depicts people travelling by a kind of public transport.
In my opinion, the both ways to travel have their advantages. For instance, going by their own car people can easily choose what to see and where to stop. As for the public transport like airplane or train, it is faster. Of course, the two ways to travel have disadvantages too. For example, traffic jams can make traveling by car really awful. Meanwhile, there are other passengers in an airplane or a train and they are not always pleasant.
As for me, I would prefer trains, because firstly it’s more ecological type of transport. Secondly, trains are usually much more comfortable transport to travel on a long distance.
So, shall we use these photos in our project? Call me when you’re ready to discuss if we can use them. Bye-bye.
