38.1. There is a public belief that if you choose a job you love, you will never have to work a single day in your life. While doing a project on the most popular jobs among young people in Zetland, I have found a table containing some relevant data that I am going to comment on.
According to the table, approximately one third of all the young people in Zetland, that is 31%, choose a government official to be their dream job. Being an engineer ranks second in popularity with 28% of the surveyed adolescents. Interestingly, 15% of the respondents don’t mind earning their living as doctors.
The statistics analysis shows that an IT specialists’ job, chosen by 21% of the respondents, is four times as popular as being a lawyer, favoured by only 5% of the young people in Zetland. To my mind, the opportunity of freelancing that is generally associated with IT sphere seems to be very attractive to the youth.
Although young people usually decide on their job preferences very early in life, choosing the right career at this stage can be a challenge. Thus, they sometimes make wrong choices and this seems to be a problem. To solve the problem, it is necessary for a young person to take special psychological tests by qualified career mentors.
To conclude, I firmly believe that nowadays people tend to prefer stability to creativity. So that being a government official has become so popular among young people. (246 words)
38.2. Recent studies show that the popularity of travelling continues to increase, however, people can face with different problems in their trips. While doing a project on what worries Zetlanders most while travelling, I have found a pie chart containing some relevant data that I am going to comment on.
According to the data, the people in Zetland have quite a wide range of things to worry about while travelling. The majority of the respondents trouble about their missing their flight as well as getting sick (28% and 23% respectively). Running out of money and language barrier are also quite popular topics for discussion with the people in Zetland, whereas loss of ID appears to be the least popular answer.
It is worth mentioning that the possibility of missing the flight is twice as important as problems with ID for the respondents. To my mind, there are lots of reasons why people can arrive at the airport too late and it is really difficult to predict all the situations that may happen. So that people worry about missing the flight.
One problem that one can face while travelling is that the cost is rather high. Tourism nowadays is very important industry providing working places to local people. So that, it is necessary to find a way how to minimize the cost of travel in order to more people will be able to afford it. For instance, a system of reclaiming parts of the spent money should be introduced.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that travelling plays an important role nowadays. I am sure it gives people the opportunity to learn other languages, culture and traditions. (274 words)
