Imagine that you and your friend are doing a school project "Exercising". You have found some illustrations and want to share the news. Leave a voice message to your friend. In 2.5 minutes be ready to:
— explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly describing them and noting the differences;
— mention the advantages (1–2) of the two types of exercising;
— mention the disadvantages (1–2) of the two types of exercising;
— express your opinion on the subject of the project — which type of exercising you prefer and why.
You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.
Hey, Kate. You know what? I’ve just found two pictures suitable for our project "Exercising". Let me tell you a bit more about them.
These pictures are relevant to our project because there are people doing sports. In the first photo there is a group of people playing volleyball outside. They seem to be friends as they are smiling and having fun. In the second picture there is a young woman exercising in the gym. She is running on a treadmill. The woman is wearing special sportswear. Obviously, both of these pictures are related to sport and healthy lifestyle. But there are differences to illustrate our project better. In the first picture people are playing a game together, while in the second picture a woman exercising alone in the gym.
In my opinion, the both ways of exercising have their advantages. For instance, modern gyms provide quite a wide range of facilities, such as various exercise machines, group training or even swimming pool. As for playing sports games with friends in the park, it helps people relieve stress as well as keep fit. Of course, the two ways of exercising have disadvantages too. For example, going to the gym costs a lot, the membership fee is rather expensive. Meanwhile, playing outside is not possible if the weather is bad since it is not pleasant to get wet, for example.
As for me, I prefer going to a sports gym because there is a lot of things to do there. I like the atmosphere of sports clubs.
So, shall we use these photos in our project? Call me when you’re ready to discuss if we can use them. Bye-bye.
