38.1. Many people believe that choosing a career is an important step on the road towards an adult life. The aim of the project I am currently working on is to find what factors influence career choice of the teenagers in Zetland. As part of my project, I have found and analyzed some relevant data presented in the table.
According to the data, the adolescents have quite a wide range of factors when it comes to choosing a career. It is clear that the vast majority of the respondents (40%) consider the parents expectation to be the most important. Moreover, a great number of the teenagers (21%) make a final decision on their profession at school listening to the views of their teachers. It is worth mentioning that friends’ persuasion is significant for 15% of the respondents.
Surprisingly, only 13% of the teenagers are influenced by the media choosing their career. It is three times less popular answer than submitting to the parental pressure. To my mind, this question is mostly discussed in families than in media space.
One problem that can arise with choosing a career is that teenagers really do not know their opportunities and talents. One solution to this problem is to hold special psychological test and interviews in order to help the adolescents find the field they are able to work in.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that despite some problems associated with choosing a career, it is an essential step for teenagers. I hope the adolescents listen to advice of the parents, teachers and friends but make their own decision. (264 words)
38.2. Many people believe that fast developing modern technologies become an essential part of everyday life particularly there is a variety of them. The aim of the project I am working on is to find out more about it. As part of my project, I have found and analyzed some data on the greatest inventions in the past decade.
According to the data, there is quite a wide range of technologies making people’s life easier. It is clear that the majority of the respondents appreciate Google assistant as well as reusable rocket (35% and 23% respectively). However, CRISPR has also found supporters and opponents, so that only 11% of the respondents want it to be called the greatest invention in the past decade.
It is worth mentioning that self-driving car is more popular than LED light bulbs. Obviously, LED lamps are wide spread nowadays and yet people are still dreaming about robotized vehicles.
One problem that can arise using new intentions is that people do not know what to do if something goes wrong. New technologies are based on very specific knowledge and instructions are usually written so that nobody can understand it. One solution to this problem is to create special applications with video instruction.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that inventions play a significant role in human life. Technologies have becoming the essential part of our live, they make our daily routine easier. (234 words)
