Imagine that you are doing a project "Sleep and studying" together with your friend. You have found some illustrations and want to share the news. Leave a voice message to your friend. In 2.5 minutes be ready to tell the friend about the photos:
• give a brief description of the photos, justifying the choice of the photos for the project;
• say in what way the pictures are different, justifying the choice of the photos for the project;
• mention the advantages and disadvantages (1–2) of the two sleeping schedules;
• express your opinion on the subject of the project — how you are managing your sleep while studying.
You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (2–3 sentences for every item of the plan, 12–15 sentences total). You have to talk continuously.
Hey, Kate. You know that? I’ve just found two pictures suitable for our project "Sleep and studying". Let me tell you a bit more about them.
They are relevant to our project because in both pictures we can see students sleeping in different places. In the photo number one there is a young man in a class. He is laying on the table and sleeping during the lecture. In the picture number two there is a young man, who is sleeping as well. He is probably at home, sleeping on the couch. It looks like his sleep is very deep, the couch should be cozy.
There are a few differences to illustrate our project better. For example, in the first photo a guy is sleeping in a classroom. In the second one other guy is sleeping on the sofa, at home.
In my opinion, both types of sleeping habits have their advantages and disadvantages. For instance, sleeping at home is much healthier for keeping up with a set schedule, but it sometimes has to be skipped due to a high workload.
Personally, I prefer sleeping well at home. I much prefer to be awake and aware in class and I try to prepare for school in a timely manner before my bedtime.
So, shall we use these photos in our project? Call me when you’re ready to discuss if we can use them. Bye-bye.
