40.1 Cats are one of the most favorite pets for many people around the world and they are great companions for any kind of person. My project, which I am still working on, is aimed at finding out the cat populations by countries. I have found some data on this issue and organized it in the table below.
I can identify two main features of the statistics presented in the table below. The first one is that the country with the highest number of cats is the USA with a population of 74000000 cats . The second one is that the country with the lowest number of cats is France with a population of 11 480000 cats.
It is also worth mentioning that China is the second country with the highest population of cats, while Brazil is the country with the second lowest cat population.
In my opinion, the statistics in the table reveal an important problem. The high number of cats overall can lead to overpopulation of this species. I think that in order to solve this problem the government should promote the adoption of cats and their sterilization.
In conclusion, I believe that the promotion of sterilization in cats can prevent an overpopulation of cats worldwide. This can lead to a better life for the cats currently alive under adoption.

40.2. Bananas are a favourite fruit for many people all around the world, from Finland to Argentina, making their production a valuable source of revenue for many countries. My project, which I am still working on, is aimed at finding out locations of banana production worldwide. I have found some data on this issue and organised it in the chart below.
I can identify two main features of the statistics presented in the chart. The first one is that among the listed countries India is leading, making up for a quarter of world banana production. The second one is that Philippines and Ecuador each amount to only about 5% of the production.
It is also worth mentioning that Ecuador is only slightly behind Brazil in terms of volume of bananas produced.
In my opinion, the statistics in the table reveal an important problem. Some countries rely too heavily on the production of bananas and base their economies on agriculture, making those countries much more dependant on the demand for fruit. To solve this problem, those countries should strive to develop other industries, so that their income would be more diversified.
In conclusion, I believe that production of bananas is important for consumers all over the world, but it should not be the main way for a country to make money.
