40.1. Internet is an important part of our daily life and a vital way for people to communicate and educate themselves. My project, which I am still working on, is aimed at finding out the percentage of Internet users. I have found some data on this issue and organised it in the table below.
I can identify two main features of the statistics presented in the graph. The first one is that the highest level of Internet usage was in 2010, at 68%. The second one is that the lowest percentage of web users was in 1990.
It is also worth mentioning that the number of people who use the Internet only increased by 3% between 2005 and 2010.
In my opinion, the statistics in the table reveal an important problem. There still are a lot of people who don’t have access to the Internet, which reduces the ability of the population to study. To solve this problem, governments should increase the availability of the Internet for low-income households.
In conclusion, I believe that the web is essential in the modern world, both for education and work, so making it more available to the general public is an extremely important task for all of humanity.

40.2 Newspapers are an important part of human life and a vital way to spread information. My project, which I am still working on, is aimed at finding out the number of newspaper firms. I have found some data on this issue and organized it in the chart below
I can identify two main features of the statistics presented in the chart below. The first one is that in the year 2000 the number of newspaper firms was 6200. The second one is that the lowest number of newspaper firms was 4500 in 2012.
It is also worth mentioning that the life expectancy has been decreasing significantly since 2000.
In my opinion, the statistics in the chart reveal an important problem. We can see that newspaper firms are becoming obsolete with the passing of time. I think that in order to solve this problem the newspaper firms should focus on expanding themselves through the internet, creating their own website as well as various social media accounts to advertise the firm.
In conclusion, I believe that the promotion of newspaper firms through the internet can once again increase the numbers of the firms. This can lead to a diversification of newspaper content throughout the entire internet.
