40.1. The population of a country is extremely important, as it defines its ability to progress and prosper. My project, which I am still working on, is aimed at analyzing the population of Russia in the last six decades. I have found some data on this issue and organised it in the table below.
I can identify two main features of the statistics presented in the table. The first one is that the population was the highest in 1990, at almost 148 million people. The second one is that the lowest population was in 1960.
It is also worth mentioning that Russia experienced a growth in population from 2010 to 2020 after a long period of population loss.
In my opinion, the statistics in the table reveal an important problem. The Russian population has fallen significantly since the 1990s, which affects its economy, the ability of the government to pay sufficient pensions to elderly people and many other factors. To solve this problem, our government should continue providing benefits to mothers, encouraging more people to have a baby.
In conclusion, I believe that demographics determine the future of a country, so special attention should be given to it by both the government and people living in the country.

40.2. The popularity of movie genres shows the entertainment inclinations of modern society. My project, which I am still working on, is aimed at finding out the percentage of people who enjoy a movie genre. I have found some data on this issue and have organized it in the chart below.
I can identify two main features of the statistics presented in the chart below. The first one is that 90% of people like comedy. The second one is that only 48% of people like horror movies.
It is also worth mentioning that adventure movies are only 2% less popular than comedy movies.
In my opinion, the statistics in the chart reveal an important problem. We can see that the public doesn’t incline at all to educational movies like documentaries. I think that in order to solve this problem there should be a greater production of educational movies, so that the public would have a greater range of choices to choose from.
In conclusion, I believe that the promotion of documentaries can have an incredible outcome on the education of society as a whole. This would promote a more critical thinking in everyone’s daily life, which in turn can help the overall development of the society.
