40.1. The film industry is a very important aspect of modern life and human entertainment. My project, which I am still working on, is aimed at finding out the number of movie tickets sold. I have found some data on this issue and organized it in the table below
I can identify two main features of the statistics presented in the table below. The first one is that the highest number of movie tickets sold was in 2018. The second one is that the lowest number of movie tickets sold was in 2021.
It is also worth mentioning that the number of movie tickets sold has been declining significantly since 2018.
In my opinion, the statistics in the table reveal an important problem. We can see that the data on the sold movie tickets isn’t specific, not accounting for various ways in which movies are sold. I think that in order to solve this problem the data should be broadened to streaming services.
In conclusion, I believe that recollecting the data of movies sold in streaming services, as well as the one from the tickets sold in movie theaters, should give greater insight into the consumption of movies sold in the modern world.

40.2. Computers are an important part of our daily life and a vital utility for communication and entertainment. My project, which I am still working on, is aimed at analyzing the percentage of households which have a computer. I have found some data on this issue and organised it in the graph below.
I can identify two main features of the statistics presented in the graph. The first one is that the highest level of computer usage was in 2016, at nearly 80%. The second one is that the lowest percentage of households with a computer was in 1984.
It is also worth mentioning that the highest leap was between 1993 and 2000, with a rise in computer usage of about 30%.
In my opinion, the statistics in the table reveal an important problem. As of 2016, there still are more than 20% of households don’t have a PC, which reduces the ability of those unable to buy a computer to self-educate. To solve this problem, governments should increase the availability of PCs for low-income households.
In conclusion, I believe that computers are essential in the modern world, both for education and work, so making them available to the general public is an extremely important task for all of humanity.
